The Schazoo Pharmaceuticals Laboratories (Pvt) Limited is not only one of the oldest Pharmaceutical companies of Pakistan but is also among the Largest National Pharmaceutical companies of Pakistan. Schazoo was established in 1951 in Lahore at the existing premises. It started its operations by producing simple pharmaceutical preparations. The history of Schazoo is the history of long and dedicated service to the medical and pharmaceutical professions. It is the story of continuous progress in pharmaceutical manufacturing starting from simple forms to complex preparations. In 1960, Schazoo was the first manufacturing company to create sterile facilities for Manufacturing of injectables and eye drops and in 1968, was ranked as the sixth largest company in Pakistan by Informative Medical Statistics (IMS). Schazoo laboratories achieved the International Asia Award for quality in 1968. It also achieved the ISO 9001-2000 certification in 1999 and has also accomplished ISO 14001 certification in the year 2002. Scahzoo possess necessary technical skills in the use of modern production instruments and are competent to produce a variety of specialties. Schazoo is an experienced contract manufacturer that operates according to the Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) standards. The existing processes are designed to produce injectables, eye drops, capsules, plain and coated tablets, syrups, suspensions, emulsions, lotions and ointments. The processes and products are controlled and supervised by highly qualified professionals, in-house quality control and micro biologist. The product portfolio of SPL includes medicines under product line of ophthalmic, gastro, gynae, ortho, neurocerebral, psychiatry, ENT, haematinics, anti-diarrhoeals, anti-malarial, vitamins, broad spectrum, antibiotics and more.
